Lally Column Removal
Removing a Lally column opens up basement space, but the load it carries has to go somewhere first. That usually means adding a longer-span beam. We set temporary shoring before anything comes out, then patch the floor where the old post and footing sat.
Lally Column Replacement
We replace Lally columns that are rusted, bent, or undersized, along with adjustable posts that were meant to be temporary but stayed in place after old repairs. We jack the beam to take the weight off, set the new column, and secure it to both the beam and the footing. If the existing footing is cracked or too small, we pour a new one first.
Lally Column Installation
We install new Lally columns on proper concrete footings to support sagging beams or new framing, in both finished and unfinished basements.
Basement Support Beam Installation
We install steel and LVL beams to replace sagging or undersized wood beams, or to span wider openings when columns come out.
